Karthi has recently admitted that he was offered a couple of Hindi films by director Anurag Kashyap, but turned them down. “I’ve known Anurag Kashyap since the time I worked in Mani Ratnam’s direction team. Anurag even offered me a couple of Hindi movies, but I was not inclined to do them, since I don’t know the language (Hindi) or the culture,” revealed the actor.
The countdown has finally begun for Karthi’s upcoming Biriyani which is gearing up for a big release in the silver screens this Friday. The expectations are soaring and to add to this buzz SR Prabhu of Studio Green films posted on his micro-blogging page that the film will be a Studio Green release all over Chennai and the film will have a mark of 1000 screens.
Featuring Hansika, Mandy Takhar and Premgi Amaren in lead roles, Biriyani is produced by K E Gnanavel Raja. Venkat Prabhu of Gambler fame directed the film.
